South TX Homies
Led by former longtime accordionist for The Hometown Boys, Anthony “Big Show” Trevino, the newly-formed group of established musicians, South TX Homies, brings an exciting progressive conjunto style to the industry.
South TX Homies members include: Trevino on accordion and vocals; Luis Flores on bajo sexto; Alejandro Elias on bass and 2nd vocal; Javier Torres on drums.
The Homies offer a wealth of musical experience with more than 20 albums recorded among the members combined. The group’s debut album and “It’s Time” and sophomore album "Una Promesa" secured the number One spot on several digital platforms on release week and "It's Time" was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2020 for Best Tejano Album.
The South TX Homies are by no means new to the Tejano/Conjunto industry but the sound of this new combination of musicians will make listeners take notice as they bring conjunto to a whole new level.
